Meditation Blended With Vedic FlaxTM

I encourage everybody from all walks of life to join me to awaken our innate spiritual energies through meditation. With this spiritual energy, we can then tap into the universal knowledge of Self Healing. We all possess the power to Heal ourselves. It does not matter where we start from. I still meditate sitting on a chair. I can sit in half lotus position for approximately 15 minutes at this time. I am slowly working my way up to 20 minutes. I teach Yoga Nidra which is Yoga with meditation. With proper positioning of the extremities and torso, this can be achieved while lying down so anyone with any medical limitations can learn Yoga Nidra. I will guide you at your own pace in taking charge of your health.

It does not matter what your disability is, or the medical diagnosis you are branded with, I will work with you in a group or individually, if needed, to help you work through balancing your chakras through meditation. I will teach you the Mantras and Yantras and give background information on Ayurvedic medicine so it all makes sense why we do certain poses during meditation.

According to Ayurvedic medicine, Health is harmony of body, mind and spirit. Disease occurs in the body when the body is unbalanced, when the mind is distressed or when the spirit is oppressed, or it may occur when one component of this triad is emphasized to the point where it is detrimental to the remaining two.

I encourage you to bring a yoga mat, pillow and/or a blanket to prop yourself in a comfortable position. Dress yourself in comfortable clothing. I definitely would like to hear from you, especially if you are on a list of medications, before we design any meditation program for you.

I have certification in didactic portion of Ayurvedic medicine, and am pursuing 600 hours (level 3) of Teacher's Training in Yoga and meditation. I will be teaching meditation sessions starting in the fall of 2008. Our goal is to start with simple Asanas, Mudras, Pranayama, Bhandhas and Kriyas and will then progress to Yoga Nidra, Raja Yoga, Sutras, and Holistic Health through herbal healing.
